Memories

The woodland walks we used to take,

Around the campus, for friendship's sake.

The tree that cast its shifting shade,

The street where "Perahera" played.

May these memories stay untouched for you.

The canteen bench where we would sit,

To share our gossip, laugh, and wit.

The moment a top secret broke,

The very first "Hi" we ever spoke.

May these memories stay untouched for you.

The warmth of coffee in our hands,

The quiet way a friendship stands.

The hours we stole late in the night,

The silent times we lost our sight—

Yet held each other, deep and true,

In corners of the hearts we knew.

May these memories stay untouched for you.

The special days that passed us by,

When we forgot to wish, no lie.

The guilt we felt two days too late,

Yet still we’d pause to celebrate

For though the date was missed and old,

The memory was always gold.

The crazy cards with words so bold,

Whose foolish things made faces burn,

With lessons we were slow to learn.

May these memories stay untouched for you.

The open roads we traveled through,

The deep respect we gave so true.

The secret language that we spoke,

To hide away from noisy folk.

May these memories stay untouched for you.

The dreams we shared, still burning bright,

The desires that we set from sight.

The suffering we had to measure,

That somehow turned itself to pleasure.

May these memories stay untouched for you.

May these memories stay untouched for you
